Riverside is a small incorporated town in Okanogan County, Washington, on the west bank of the Okanogan River roughly between the larger communities of Omak and Tonasket in the state's north-central region. The river valley here runs through a landscape of orchards, hayfields, and sagebrush benchland, with the foothills of the Cascade Range rising to the west and the Okanogan Highlands stretching east toward the Colville Reservation. As one of the oldest settlements along this stretch of the river, Riverside traces its roots to the mining and steamboat frontier of the late nineteenth century.
