Packwood is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in the easternmost corner of Lewis County, Washington, stretched along U.S. Highway 12 beside the Cowlitz River. Its location along the White Pass Scenic Byway places it between two of the region's defining landmarks: Mount Rainier National Park to the north and the White Pass summit and ski area to the east, with the Gifford Pinchot National Forest surrounding the valley on nearly all sides.
