Doug assisted me (as a buyer's agent) with my first home purchase in 1994. Unlike other agents who I considered using at the time, Doug was not pushy, and indicated his willingness to work with me even when I wasn't sure at the time if I was ready to buy then, or wanting to wait a few months. Doug walked me through the process from Step 1 completely through the purchase, and was professional, easy to work with, patient with my many questions, and made sure the sale went through without any problems. When I was ready to sell that first house in 2003, Doug did a fantastic job of marketing the property and handling the sale. I had an offer and purchase and sale agreement after two days. Doug recently completed the sale of our second house, in September 2011. These are more uncertain times, but Doug once again did a fantastic job for us, and resulted in a sale after a very short listing period. I needed to tour many homes to work out what I was looking for, and Andrew was more than willing to help me. He also gave a great explanation of the whole process and gave strong advice for what work to do on the house after purchase, with contractor recommendations. My wife and I had an amazing home buying experience with Andrew. We were moving to Seattle without any local knowledge or references. I noted his positive reviews on Zillow and decided to give him a call. I’m sure glad I did. Andrew went above and beyond for us. We were out of town buyers and could only make it out to view properties on one particular weekend. He gave us his undivided attention and arranged for us to see a long list of properties. He was willing and able to adjust on the fly once we realized we didn’t like a particular neighborhood, even though the majority of the properties we had planned to see were located there. Andrew helped us construct a competitive offer, which was accepted for our perfect home. He managed to talk me out of offering too much which speaks to his honesty and integrity. Throughout the process he gave us sound advice and was always willing to tell us the pros and cons of each house or neighborhood. Overall, I never felt pressured. After we closed on the house, but before we could move to Seattle, Andrew arranged for a number of bids to refinish the floors and personally oversaw the work. I would recommend him as a real estate agent to family and friends without hesitation!

Andrew was contracted to market three HOA-owned units in our development, which he completed to the unanimous satisfaction of the board. I worked directly with him on setting prices and scheduling the sales and his experience and expertise were compelling and confidence-inspiring. He was not bashful about what he thought was 'the right approach'. What was particularly impressive about Andrew is that he was never 'out of touch' and never unwilling to 'take care of issues'.

Andrew was able to meet my family's needs in short order. He found us properties that fit our requirements and we got the deal done before the holidays making our mother very happy. She commented how trustworthy and knowledgeable he was as to how he set her at ease.

Around the time we started looking for a home we saw a property and used Zillow's visit the property feature. A bunch of agents contacted us, left multiple voicemails, put me on mailing lists, called from unknown numbers and left vague voicemails, none about the specific property. Andrew left one voicemail explaining that the property was pending but they we should give him a call if we'd like to see other homes. I called Andrew back and eventually my fiance and I visited him in his office near Northgate where he went over the home buying process, his credentials and answered every (exhausted) question we had. He was very patient, knowledgeable and honest. With our budget, we weren't getting a craftsman in Capitol Hill, but we could get something in Seattle that met our needs with out breaking the bank. Over the next few months we saw houses that were nice but far away, fixer-uppers, small houses, houses in a flight path, flipped houses with a premium price tag for a mediocre paint job, and others my fiance and I just didn't agree on. When he sent us a houses that we liked, he met or drove us to the property in a day or so. I was really surprised initially when he would show us all the flaws, which he saw right away with his history in construction management. One house had a really interesting plank wall, which he showed us was not insulated properly and would likely affect our energy bills. When a house had an undesirable characteristic, he was very honest about the probability of changing it and how much it would cost. We eventually found a house we really liked that was bid out of our price range. Andrew was able get a pulse on the bidding process, and we didn't even submit an offer. We were disheartened, but we didn't have to spend any money. We even backed out of an offer that got accepted after the inspection showed a multitude of problems. Andrew communicated that this was just part of the process and we moved on. Eventually we found another place we liked. Andrew arranged a pre-inspection and we submitted an offer. There were almost 10 other offers on the place, but Andrew put together a really solid offer letter and it was accepted. While researching the home buying process I found that sellers sometimes didn't accept an offer just because the offer wasn't put together well enough. Less than a month later and a document signing arthritic hand later, we had the keys. I really couldn't recommend Andrew enough!

His honesty was refreshing and you could always tell he was giving you the real lowdown. Even during this pandemic, he went above and beyond for us.
