As a first time condo-buyer in a new city I was pretty nervous about the entire process, but Andrew was absolutely wonderful to work with. Starting from the first time we met to tour a unit and chat, he provided me with extensive information (including an entire guidebook on the home-buying process) and was available and responsive to any questions I had (even the likely very stupid ones). We ended up negotiating an off-market deal with the seller for my unit which saved everyone time and money in the end. I worked with Andrew for almost 11 months to finally get the townhouse fitting for my budget and taste. This was my first home buying experience and I didn’t know anything about the whole process. Andrew started with educating me about all of the home buying steps, then he carefully noted what I was looking for. Next, he showed me a large portfolio of listings with different prices and characteristics to help me set my expectations. Later, he patiently showed dozens of townhomes to me during the next 10 months and he was totally objective with his opinions. He was very organized, prompt, and reachable when we needed to submit an offer in a very short amount of time or I wanted to see a unit. He was a great help during the closing phase as well. He was always on my side and protecting me as his client. Mr. Schein was patient and followed me around Seattle touring at least 50+ homes for the better part of a year, only putting in an offer on 3 properties; despite this, he was quick to respond and always excited to tour more. 
Andrew, is very personable, he put me at ease throughout the whole process (my first home) and I never felt pressured, despite my foot dragging.
Though I only placed three offers, his expertise showed through in how we navigated completely different situations to the right outcome for me: a competitive house with 6 offers, out of country owners, and finally the late-season purchase of a home on the market only 2 weeks.

When my wife and I were looking at realtors, Andrew stood out to us immediately given his breadth of local knowledge and his past experience in construction and building. On top of that, he had recently sold many houses in our price point, so we decided to set up a meeting with him. I am so glad we did! Andrew was a true professional from start to finish, and was flexible and available to us when our house search really started to pick up steam.

Around the time we started looking for a home we saw a property and used Zillow's visit the property feature.  A bunch of agents contacted us, left multiple voicemails, put me on mailing lists, called from unknown numbers and left vague voicemails, none about the specific property.  Andrew left one voicemail explaining that the property was pending but they we should give him a call if we'd like to see other homes.  

I called Andrew back and eventually my fiance and I visited him in his office near Northgate where he went over the home buying process, his credentials and answered every (exhausted) question we had.  He was very patient, knowledgeable and honest.  With our budget, we weren't getting a craftsman in Capitol Hill, but we could get something in Seattle that met our needs with out breaking the bank.  

Over the next few months we saw houses that were nice but far away, fixer-uppers, small houses, houses in a flight path, flipped houses with a premium price tag for a mediocre paint job, and others my fiance and I just didn't agree on.  

When he sent us a houses that we liked, he met or drove us to the property in a day or so.  I was really surprised initially when he would show us all the flaws, which he saw right away with his history in construction management.  One house had a really interesting plank wall, which he showed us was not insulated properly and would likely affect our energy bills.  When a house had an undesirable characteristic, he was very honest about the probability of changing it and how much it would cost.

We eventually found a house we really liked that was bid out of our price range.  Andrew was able get a pulse on the bidding process, and we didn't even submit an offer.  We were disheartened, but we didn't have to spend any money.  We even backed out of an offer that got accepted after the inspection showed a multitude of problems.  Andrew communicated that this was just part of the process and we moved on.

Eventually we found another place we liked.  Andrew arranged a pre-inspection and we submitted an offer.  There were almost 10 other offers on the place, but Andrew put together a really solid offer letter and it was accepted.  While researching the home buying process I found that sellers sometimes didn't accept an offer just because the offer wasn't put together well enough.  Less than a month later and a document signing arthritic hand later, we had the keys.  I really couldn't recommend Andrew enough!

We bought our first house with Andrew Schein two month ago.
Andrew is a genuinely nice local Real Estate Professional of WA, he is knowledgeable around NW/NE Seattle, is easy to work with, is very patient, with rich knowledge about types of construction, with good verbal communication and excellent feedback during our questions, focused all the time to lead us in the right direction of what we wanted to purchase, as well as always having a big and honest smile, pretty enthusiastic and smart person, polite and discreet with all around; all this constantly during the 10 months of process.

We explained to Andrew the we are looking for a fixer house in a specific neighborhood, location and budget, so that was not easy to match these days, due the fact that there are houses demolished every day in Seattle and there could be building a duplex or a tower next to your dream home.  Andrew  was extremely helpful in educating and teaching us to understand the actual quality of the houses and he gives us a piece of mind; overview the type of construction and characteristics, we inspect the houses with time and discretion. It also helps to know the potentials cost on the repairs of houses, while keeping in focus what we want to have in terms of final house and not in what he can potential sell to us, we never felt rushed or pressured, even though, he always was on the top of what was new in the market according the what we wanted to purchase,  he texted and e-mailed  us all the time, so pretty often we were looking the very next day at the houses.

His expertise was evident when I traveled abroad and Andrew and my husband visited some houses without me, with the help of Skype, Andrew was talking and describe the houses, structures, sizes and keeping in mind what was my preferences in the house, I was nervous at some points but when he was telling me about my preferences on a house I truly believe that he has my back. We kept continued communication via e mails until him and my husband put an offer on that house.
